Section 8 Counseling
For those that qualify, the government will provide monthly rental assistance. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provides a website that you may access to start the process to qualify; www.hud.gov/progdesc/voucher.cfm.
USCFI can guide you through some of the aspects of this website, but this website is State run and Section 8 is by approval from them. It is approached as a lottery, but given approval for it, the government will pay your monthly rent. However, Section 8 money is not accepted by all Landlords, so please consult your Landlord to ensure that Section 8 is accepted.
